Job description

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to recruit a Learning Officer who will drive forward the Foundation's approach to learning. Please note this role is offered as full time or 0.8 and on a hybrid basis with a minimum expectation to work from their London office 2-3 days a week.

 

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is a leading independent funder. They aim to improve our natural world, secure a fairer future, and strengthen the bonds in communities in the UK. They do this by contributing all they can to unlock change by people and organisations with brilliant ideas who share their goals. In 2021, they gave over £50m in grants to charities and social enterprises towards their aims. They also have an allocation of £45 million to social investment for organisations with the aim of creating social impact.

 

The main responsibilities of this role include ensuring that learning and evidence drives the decisions of the Foundation, contributing to strategy and testing new ways to learn from funding. You will also oversee the end-of-grant and mid-grant call process, ensuring they contribute to organisational learning, as well as organising staff learning lunches and events to help deliver the Foundation's strategy. Collecting feedback from funding, tracking strategy progress and sharing learning insights are also key facets of this role.

 

To be successful as a Learning Officer you will be inquisitive, analytical and have a real passion for making a difference through the work of a leading independent funder. You will have experience of writing research summaries or reports with recommendations, and have quantitative and qualitative research skills to bring to the position. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess the ability to listen and learn from a range of different people and overall, you will be highly organised and have excellent IT skills.
