How to apply
Our client is a charity that aims to provide free, impartial and confidential advice to people who face problems that affect their lives. They are currently looking to recruit for an Outreach Money Adviser to provide an effective money advice service in ways that would maximise income and minimise clients' expenditure. This role is offered on a full-time, temporary basis, initially for one month.
As a Money Adviser, you will be delivering outreach debt and money advice to vulnerable clients (advice is delivered through appointments, telephone, written correspondence and through other appropriate channels). Using their Funder Map-Tool software, you will assess clients' needs and help draft action plans appropriately. You will also make relevant referrals, and assist and advise clients who are negotiating with third parties, ensuring that they get best quality of support.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience delivering effective debt and money advice and be capable to manage and deliver caseloads in a manner that complies with the charity's auditing standards. You will have previous experience working in an outreach project with minimal support and supervision. Due to the nature of the role, you will have current knowledge on legislation, policies and procedures relevant to debt and debt money advice.
To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check that is registered to the online update service.
