Job description

Prospectus is pleased to be supporting a homelessness charity that works with more than 1600 homeless and vulnerable housed people a year in East London. Through offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery, and learning and training programmes, they aim to support socially excluded individuals to access the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets. They are now looking to recruit a Needle Exchange Coordinator to join their Reset Outreach & Referral Service. This is offered as a temporary, part-time (28 hours) position.

As their Needle Exchange Coordinator, you'll form part of the Reset Outreach & Referral Service, working across Tower Hamlets ensuring that residents of the borough have access to the drug and alcohol support they need. Providing outreach intervention, you will use a 'strengths based' approach and will act as the service's vital first point of access to support and engage clients to address their needs.

To be successful, you will be passionate about providing quality support to some of the most vulnerable and excluded people of East London. You will have drive and ambition to support your team to make positive and lasting changes in people's lives. You'll have demonstrable experience in delivering needle exchange, as well as an excellent knowledge of substance misuse support services. Finally, knowledge and experience of supporting people with complex needs such as rough sleeping and poor mental health is essential.

To be considered, you will be available to start immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS that is registered to the online update service.

To apply, please upload a CV in Word format; a covering letter is not required at this stage.
