Job description

Our client is a therapy-based, independent SEN Primary School based in North London. Together, their specialist teams deliver tailored support to a range of children with additional needs, enabling them to learn, interact and play in a warm, safe and happy environment. They are now looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their dedicated team, delivering a specialist occupational service to a range of pupils with special educational needs. This role is offered on a part-time position, 2.5 days per week.

As our client's newest Occupational Therapist, you will work within a close-knit team to deliver a needs-based occupational intervention for all pupils. You will ensure that the service is adapted in order to meet any additional needs presented by pupils, undertaking thorough assessments and clinical observations, and will provide clinical reports, advice and training across the wider school environment. You will work closely with the wider teaching team, as well as with pupil's families and carers, to fully leverage multi-disciplinary working and enhance pupil's access to educational provision.

To apply for this role, you must be a skilled, registered Occupational Therapist, with demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable children presenting a range of complex learning difficulties ideally in a school or educational setting. You will have extensive experience of working autonomously, and of managing your own caseload of pupils with a range of neurological and developmental disabilities. You will be attentive, thorough and diligent, skilled at compiling reports and translating complex information for a range of professionals, as well as for service users.

Please note this is role is part-time, working term-time only (39 weeks per year, 7.2 hours per day).
