Our client, a new and growing charity that supports ground breaking legal action on climate change is looking to recruit an Operations Manager on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days per week) to join its team. This person will ideally be based at the Amsterdam office but there is flexibility for the role to be based in London if necessary.
This role will involve offering broad administrative and strategic support to the core functions of a small team of Legal Professionals and the Directors. This will cover finance, grants management, HR, procurement and facilities but will be broad in its remit. Supporting the growth of this start up organisation by designing systems, developing relationships with suppliers and contractors will be core to this role in addition to galvanizing relationships with stakeholders in the Netherlands and across the world. Ensuring due diligence, governance and compliance policies are put in place and monitored will be important to this role.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a similar operations management capacity, ideally in the charity sector and importantly will be fluent in Dutch and English as this role will be communicating on a daily basis with stakeholders in the Netherlands and across the world. Finance, HR and grants exposure will be key to this role, as will a broad understanding of the charity sector. Highly organised and calm by nature, this person will also have experience organising small events and workshops in addition to having an excellent eye for detail both in terms or work practices and in written communication. Bright, engaging, and sharing a passion for environmental justice, this person will ideally have some sort of exposure to the legal profession and an understanding and appreciation of issues surrounding climate change.
This role is initially offered on a 1 year fixed term contract & will be contracted as a consultant.
