Prospectus is excited to be working with Children with Cancer UK, the country's leading cancer charity, at an exciting time for the organisation as they continue their mission to end childhood cancer. To aid their goals, they are recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to grow and develop a pipeline of high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations to feed into their larger goal of raising £26 million in the next three years.
This full time, permanent position is based at their offices opposite the famous Great Ormond Street Hospital and pays between £40,000 and £45,000 based on experience.
In this role, you will be working with the Head of High Value Fundraising to develop an organisation wide philanthropy programme that scans the organisation for potential donors that can give to a four, five and in the future potentially six figure level. You will also be required to deliver a bespoke calendar of stewardship events for philanthropists and ensure these donors are appropriately recognised and stewarded throughout their donor journey. A key part of the role will be designing and implementing a giving programme to recognise and categorise their existing and new donors. With the main focus of the role being from individuals, part of the role will be focusing on developing a trusts and foundations fundraising programme that can help deliver the forecast income for the team.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing a major donor programme and stewarding philanthropists at a four and five figure level. You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with a desire to grow into a head of role and manage a wide variety of relationships with individuals, trusts and foundations in a programme that you will develop. This role will start as a single fundraiser underneath the Head of High Value Fundraising with a view to expanding the role into a Head of Philanthropy managing a team.
