The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the world's most influential cancer research institutes and has been at the forefront of making discoveries in cancer for over 100 years. With a growing Development Team, this is a great opportunity to support ICR's scientists in making the discoveries needed to improve cancer patients' lives.
As the Philanthropy Manager, you will focus on developing relationships with new and existing major donors to secure gifts of £10k+. Joining a supportive development team and with access to some incredible scientists and other resources, you will also lead on the next development phase of the organisations giving club, The Discovery Club, to increase membership and income. A key role within the team, this position will ensure the highest level of stewardship for prospects and donors within your portfolio and work closely with the Deputy Director of Philanthropy to develop new opportunities.
To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have a proven track record of securing five figure gifts from individuals and previous experience of managing a portfolio of major donor relationships. You will also be knowledgeable on how to manage and grow high-level giving clubs and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. With some great resource to utilise within this role, you will also be confident in building internal relationships across fundraising teams and with the students and scientists.

This is a full-time permanent role that will have hybrid working with 2 days per week in the London office and the rest working from home.
