Our client, one of London's leading universities, is currently looking to recruit a temporary Senior Programmes Officer, on a full time basis. The post is looking to run for approximately 4 months in the first instance, starting as soon as possible, to provide key administrative support to the department at this busy time. This will be on a hybrid working basis, partly from the office (2 days per week Monday/Tuesday), and remote for the other days.
The purpose of this role will be focused on the enrolment of students on their modules for the universities students. Key elements include enrolling students, ensuring timetable compatibility, arranging level assessments to ensure they are on the correct stage, dealing with a high volume of queries via email and supervising the work of 2 Programmes Officers at what is a very intensive and busy period.
In order to be considered for this post, you will need to have previous experience within a similar Course/Programme Officer role, within a higher education environment, along with excellent IT skills, and a proficient user of Excel. The ability to work independently and proactively, you will have the confidence to deal with a wide variety of people, prioritise competing deadlines and comprehend complex situations quickly. The ideal candidate will also have experience using the student records system SITS, which is essential, and would be advantageous to have used Moodle or a similar VLE previously.
