Job description

Our client is a therapy-based, independent SEN Primary School based in North London. Together, their specialist teams deliver tailored support to a range of children with additional needs, enabling them to learn, interact and play in a warm, safe and happy environment. They are now looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join their dedicated team, delivering specialist communicative support to a range of pupils with special educational needs. This role is offered on a part-time position, 2.5 days per week.

As our client's newest SALT, you will work within a close-knit team to deliver specialist, communicative support based on each child's individual needs. You will do this in a variety of settings, including one to one, group, and class-based sessions. You will work closely with the wider teaching team, as well as with pupil's families and carers, to fully leverage multi-disciplinary working in achieving best outcomes for pupils.

 

To apply for this role, you will be a skilled Speech and Language Practitioner, with significant experience of managing your own defined clinical caseload. You will have extensive experience of supporting children with a range of additional need, ideally in a school or education setting, and of working alongside multi-disciplinary teams. You will be calm, caring, and sensitive in your manner, skilled at communicating with a range of professionals. Overall you will be a registered therapist, passionate about delivering the highest level of communicative support to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

Please note this is role is a part-time position, working term-time only (39 weeks per year, 7.2 hours per day).
