Our client is a leading charity in the homeless sector, providing a range of accommodation and support services to homeless people across London. Working with various client groups, they aim to reduce harm from substance misuse and work with external agencies to break offending patterns and assist service users to reintegrate in to the community.
They are currently recruiting for a Support Worker for their North Birbeck Road young people's accommodation services. Client-focused, you will provide effective, high quality housing-related support to vulnerable young people in order to improve their quality of life and promote independence.
The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience of working with young people including those leaving care, and have knowledge of housing and other related legislation. An understanding of the principles of assessment and risk, planned support, key working and advocacy with vulnerable people is imperative, as well as a solid understanding of the principles underlying a quality, customer-focused service.
Please note, a DBS check registered on the online update service, or issued within the last year is essential.
Please also note, this position will be working on a Monday-Sunday rota basis, comprised of a mixture of early and late shifts.
