Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with Calibre to recruit their new Trusts and Grants Fundraiser. Calibre believes that everyone should have the pleasure of reading and that being blind or partially sighted, dyslexic or unable to hold a book should not be barriers to the written word. With an amazing collection of over 11,000 titles and with the dedicated support of a team of volunteers, they provide an extensive audiobook lending service to their members with around 37,000 books being sent out each month!
It's an exciting time to join Calibre as they progress with the development of a new and ambitious fundraising strategy which will see the introduction of new funding streams enabling Calibre to diversify their offer to reach more members. Calibre's purpose is to change lives through reading, and there could not be a better time to join.
The Trusts and Grants Fundraiser will be responsible for growing the charity's income from trusts and foundations, lottery bodies and other grant makers with a particular focus on larger funders. The remit will be to establish a strong portfolio of funders whilst in time extending the reach nationally. With lots of scope to establish and grow this income stream, it will take a trained eye to grow and develop the right relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant trust fundraising experience, be well organised and have a keen eye for detail. Excellent research and communication skills will be key as will a positive and 'can do' attitude!
Calibre is open to this role being worked part time.
