An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen at one of London's leading universities to support the wider team and students in providing an empathetic and friendly support and advice service in response to the pandemic.
As the organisation's Welfare Advisor, you will take the lead in developing support groups for students in Halls and develop out of hours emergency support. You will undertake risk assessments for students in crisis and develop support policies. Liaising with counselling service, other University services and external support services for students, and be responsible for the content of student welfare information on the website and portal. Receive and signpost enquiries and/or complaints from students and staff and develop effective systems for recording cases.
To be considered for this position, you will be a proven professional with previous experience working in a similar role preferably within an educational institution. You will need to be an empathetic individual with exceptional communication skills. Competent use of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Word is essential to this post. You would need to be available immediately and some on site work may be required in South West London.
