Prospectus is delighted to be working with the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care at London's Air Ambulance charity, the charity providing advanced trauma car across the capital. They operate a helicopter and rapid response vehicle service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, carrying out critical care procedures at the scene. The Institute of Pre-Hospital Care at London's Air Ambulance (The Institute) was founded in 2013 to build on and expand this influence. Its mission is to drive excellence in pre-hospital care standards and practice through research, innovation and education; and by fostering collaboration across medical disciplines and institutions dedicated to improving outcomes for people afflicted by critical injury and illness. They are currently looking for an Institute Officer to join the team and help support the smooth running of the Institute's education programmes and courses.
You will ensure the smooth running of the Institute's programme of short courses, the Intercalated BSc in Prehospital Medicine, and the MSc in Prehospital Medicine. In addition, the post holder will spend time attending to externally facing platforms such as the website and social media infrastructure to ensure that the profile of the Institute is appropriate to their mission.As part of a close team, the post holder will be expected to support the broader work of the team and work closely with their counterparts in the main charity.
As this post will be externally facing with course attendees, candidates and degree students, you will have significant reputational and operational impact. It is expected that the work of the post holder will contribute to a direct improvement of the Institute educational experience and the Institute's achievements on an international scale too.
The successful candidate will be a bright, engaged and intuitive individual with excellent communication skills. You will be well organised and be able to handle multiple conflicting priorities at once. You will have strong judgement with the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and diplomacy. Previous experience within an administrative role is required alongside excellent attention to detail.
