Prospectus is delighted to be working with Paul Hamlyn Foundation as they look to hire a new Project Co-ordinator on a fixed term contract until March 2022. This position will be part time, 21 hours a week, and be part of their Act For Change Fund.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the UK. PHF helps people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. They have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts and social justice, which is the golden thread that links all their work.
Act for Change Fund is a £3.6 million partnership for organisations supporting young people working for change. The Fund provides resources for young people to challenge social injustice, find ways of overcoming inequality and give a voice to issues they are experiencing. A joint initiative between Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation (EFF) in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund, both foundations are acting as match funders and are awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund. Act for Change Fund began in 2018, and the programme will end in early 2022.
The Programme Co-ordinator will act as the first point of contact for the AFCF and duties will include responding to enquires, funded organisations and all stakeholders associated. You will provide administrative support that will include grant reporting and help to process financial data to ensure timely payments to funded partners. You will work with the learning and evaluation partners as well as handle governance responsibilities regarding the fund too.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in co-ordinating complex projects and programmes. You will have experience of communicating and managing relationships with a large range of different stakeholders. You will be passionate and engaged with the work of PHF and will be knowledgeable about youth social action, social justice, young people's campaigning and/or self-advocacy.
