Prospectus is proud to be working with a national charity that is having an astoundingly positive impact on tackling issues surrounding the rights of refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. Our client is now seeking a dedicated and motivated Gateway Resettlement Service Manager to ensure that their Gateway project across Greater Manchester makes a positive impact to all service users.
Funded by the Home Office and European Commission, the Gateway Resettlement Programme is the UK's humanitarian refugee resettlement programme, providing protection to some of the world's most vulnerable refugees who are resettled in the UK. As the Gateway Resettlement Service Manager you will work with the Gateway Team and the Gateway Partnership (including key Local Authority and housing provider stakeholders), to ensure the best quality support to refugees arriving through the programme. Reporting to the Head of Resettlement, you will ensure that all relevant KPI's are observed and reported on effectively, and that all aspects of financial management and funding reports are undertaken.
To apply for this exciting opportunity, you must have demonstrable insight in to the needs, hopes and experiences of resettled refugees, especially the main barriers to successful resettlement. You must have excellent managerial skills, and experience of providing support and supervision to staff and volunteers in an emotionally demanding environment. You must have significant partnership and negotiation skills, especially with Local Authorities, and must have the ability to work constructively and demonstrate influence and leadership with a wide range of external agencies, voluntary, statutory and private sector.
