Our client, one of London's leading membership organisations supporting higher education is currently seeking a Membership and Events Administrator to exclusively support a new and exciting project, assisting with the day to day administration functions. This post is a part-time position working over 3 days within the organisation.
As the organisations Membership and Events Administrator, you will work closely with the Director, Board and existing members to support all network activity concerning a new project. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks across administration, communications, membership and events management. You will manage all communications across social media along with writing and publishing frequent e-news to the wider community. You will be the main point of contact for all membership enquires and applications, working with the finance team on invoicing and budgets. As the Membership and Events Administrator, you will also provide secretariat support to the board including timely preparation and dissemination of papers. Being the central point of contact for external network meetings and events, you will help to arrange catering, room bookings and liaise with guest speakers as appropriate.
To be considered for this post, you will need to have substantial administration experience, preferably within a membership body or higher education environment. Along with strong organisational skills, you will have an excellent telephone manner with experience of working with senior stakeholders, partners and the wider public. With the ability to manage and prioritise competing deadlines, you will also possess great IT skills including Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and proactively, with the confidence to deal with a wide variety of people and prioritise competing deadlines. Health or health research experience is desirable although not essential to this post. Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate must be available to start work immediately.
