Prospectus is delighted to be working with a leading independent think tank, who focuses on international and humanitarian issues. They are looking to recruit a proactive and hard working Programme Officer to provide administrative and financial project management support to research staff throughout the project cycle. This role is for four months.
The Programme Officer will work in a small but growing team which continues to attract regular funding towards Agricultural Development. They will work on a portfolio of projects of varying size and complexity and will play a key part in the pre-bidding and proposal development, project, financial and contractual monitoring, as well as delivering excellent logistical support across the projects. There is a wide remit from organising and preparing for meetings and taking minutes, through to liaising with other stakeholders, collating information and data and feeding into contract development. There is regular engagement with institutional donors such as the World Bank, DFID, the UN, the EU etc.
The right candidate will have strong experience of programme and financial management and be educated to degree level or equivalent. With an excellent level of numeracy and robust administrative skills the programme officer will be comfortable monitoring budgets and donor contract management. They will be able to work to a high quality across a variety of concurrent projects and thrive in working as an individual as part of a wider team. Experience of using Sharepoint and data management skills are desirable for this exciting opportunity.
