What the job involves
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow, develop and gain valuable skills and experience, in our established Community Fundraising team. You will be part of passionate team fighting to stop prostate cancer from being a killer. This is an integral role where you will be working to generate income across our Community Fundraising programme including Walking, Cycling, Skydiving and Beneficiary Events.
You’ll support the team by assisting with enquiries, managing some income streams and the recruitment of new supporters for the team, as well as providing excellent customer experience to supporters. You will also work closely with the Community Fundraising Executives and Communications team to manage supporter journeys of third-party events (e.g. Walking Challenges and Skydives) and their marketing plans. You will also provide support with general team duties – updating the website, coordinating content and liaising with case studies to complement the Community Fundraising programme.
This role also involves some general administration associated with fundraising, especially maintaining high quality data on the Raiser’s Edge database, whilst ensuring information gathered is recorded in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You will have the energy and passion to manage this wide-ranging role and make a valuable contribution to the success of the team by having excellent communication skills, being proactive in supporting participants, as well as having a strong eye for detail in carrying out administrative duties. You can prioritise a busy workload to ensure we are able to deliver excellent customer experience, be self-motivated, coupled with excellent organisational skills and have an outgoing and positive approach to the role.
You will be excited to build and manage relationships with existing and new community fundraisers as you will be the first point contact for enquiries for the team. You will also be able to motivate and offer fundraising advice, to ensure excellent experiences, from sign-up through to thanking. Whilst the role is office based, there may be occasions when travel to events around the UK is expected.
