What the job involves
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our established, experienced and successful community fundraising team. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other. We’re enthusiastic, open, supportive and driven. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion to achieve success.
You will be a customer-focused individual who has a talent for cultivating relationships and have an eye for spotting new opportunities. In a nutshell, you’ll be working across our portfolio of activity with individuals, groups, clubs and partners.
We need you to proactively grow and develop your income areas. To do this, you’ll have first class relationship building skills, a way with words, excellent writing skills and the ability to truly connect with supporters though emotive and compelling interactions. You’ll be working with supporters face-to-face, over the phone, online and in writing. You will help donors receive the ultimate supporter journey and get the absolute most out of their fundraising experience.
You’ll contribute significantly to identifying new trends and testing ways to grow engagement and understanding of our supporters. You’ll work with your manager to develop and deliver our plans.
What we want from you
This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, personable and enthusiastic individual to really make their mark. You’ll ideally have a solid community fundraising background to enable you to hit the ground running. We want you to make the most of the opportunities given to you to flex your creative side, whilst still delivering on the day-to-day practices, and to enable the team to grow and be efficient. You’ll be joining a fun and experienced team who’ll help you grow your strengths and support your development.
Why work for us?
We have a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, we can make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear. Be part of a team that will put an end to prostate cancer being a killer.
The support we’ll provide
Join our team and you’ll be working at an award-winning charity that will help you learn, develop your skills and expertise, and achieve your highest aspirations. We provide everything you’d expect from a professional organisation – competitive benefits package, contributory pension scheme, life insurance and a season ticket loan – but much more besides. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we fight for a better future for men.
Closing date: midnight, Sunday 27th October 2019.
Interview date: w/c 4th November 2019.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
