What the job involves

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join an established, experienced and successful Community Fundraising team. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other. We’re enthusiastic, open, helpful and driven and we’re looking for someone who shares our passion to achieve success.

We’re seeking a customer-focused individual who has a talent for cultivating relationships and spotting new opportunities. In a nutshell, you’ll be working across a portfolio of activities which includes project management work and inspiring individuals, groups, clubs and partners to fundraise.

We need you to proactively grow and develop your income areas, including leading on the development and delivery of the ‘Organise Your Own March for Men’. To do this, you’ll have great project management skills, first class relationship building expertise, a way with words, excellent written communication and the ability to truly connect with supporters though emotive and compelling interactions. You will be managing a project team to reach shared objectives and grow the programme.  You’ll be working with supporters face-to-face, over the phone, online and in writing ensuring donors receive the ultimate supporter journey, and the get the absolute most out of their fundraising experience.

You’ll contribute significantly to identifying new trends and testing ways to grow engagement and understanding of our supporters. Alongside this, you’ll work with your manager to develop and deliver our strategic plans.

What we want from you

You are personable and an enthusiastic individual who ideally has a solid community fundraising background to hit the ground running. We want you to make the most of the opportunities given to you to flex your creative side, whilst still delivering on the day-to-day practices to keep the team efficient and enabling it to grow. You’ll be joining a fun and experienced team who’ll help you grow your strengths and support your development.

Why work for us?
We have a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, we can make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear. Be part of a team that will put an end to prostate cancer being a killer.

The support we’ll provide

Join our team and you’ll be working at an award-winning charity that will help you learn, develop your skills and expertise, and achieve your highest aspirations. We provide everything you’d expect from a professional organisation – competitive benefits package, contributory pension scheme, life insurance and season ticket loan – but much more besides. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we fight for a better future for men.

Closing date:  9am, Monday 20th January 2020.
Interview date: w/c 27th January 2020.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
