Job description

About us

ProVeg UK is a part of ProVeg International, a global food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce global animal consumption by 50% by the year 2040. We are active in nine countries across four continents, and are growing rapidly.

Internationally, we work with governments, private companies, public institutions, medical professionals, and the public to help the world transition to a more plant-based society and economy that is sustainable for humans, animals, and the planet. In the UK, we have a small but effective team, which focuses primarily on delivering menu change in schools (our School Plates programme). ProVeg UK is a non-profit organisation, registered as a community interest company.

About the position

Now that ProVeg is increasing its activities internationally, we are expanding our UK remit, and looking for a versatile Campaigns and Communications Manager to take us to the next level.

  • Campaigns

Are you determined to change the food system? Are you a self-starter, full of initiative and new ideas, and like to get things done? We’re looking for an impact-driven and outgoing colleague to launch effective campaigns in the UK, including our international campaigns, such as Diet Change Not Climate Change, our upcoming Dietary Guidelines campaign, other policy-focused projects, and the dissemination of our reports.

We want to create engaging content to explain the need for better school food, to showcase our services, and to illustrate our impact. You’ll be responsible for PR, website content, our newsletter, and social media.

Reporting directly to the ProVeg UK Director, you’ll also work closely with our School Plates Programme Manager, International Head of Communication, and International PR Manager – all based in the UK – as well as our International Social Media Manager and other international colleagues.
