The Public Interest Law Centre (PILC) uses the law to fight for the dispossessed and marginalised. We fight to hold Government and public bodies to account, challenging unlawful and poor decision-making and abuse of power. We use the law as an instrument of change. We will not rest until we see a fairer and more equal society.
PILC was initially set up in 2016 as a project of Lambeth Law Centre. Since then we have made great strides in becoming an independent organisation. We act as an agent of Camden Community Law Centre in relation to its Public Law and Claims Against Public Authorities contracts with the Legal Aid Agency. Over the next 12 months, our priorities lie in strengthening the organisation’s core functions to which this role is pivotal.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who will be able to support PILC in developing policies and procedures that ensure the highest standards of service as well as strengthen the organisation’s core. You will need to be confident, self-reliant and able to work autonomously as you will become a key person to the organisation's central operations, providing an effective administrative support function at our offices. Experience of working in a growing charity or income-generating organisation would be a distinct advantage.
The post is part-time, 21 hours per week over three days with possibility of extension.
