Holidays: 22 days plus Bank Holidays per annum

Responsible to: Training and Business Development Manager
Accountable to: Queen’s Hall Action on Poverty Trustees

You will be retail driven whilst at the same time be focused on the value of teaching people we work with new skills. You will have a desire to see individuals develop in their skills and confidence through their engagement with the Brick. You will be responsible for delivering a robust, sustainable retail outlet at the Brick Works, increasing employability skills and creating a culture where people want to learn and thrive. You will need to be as committed as we are to equip people from diverse backgrounds for self-sustaining and independent living.
The focus of the Brick Works Retail Mentor is to balance a successful Retail Unit with a programme of training and upskilling people we work with. You will have an excellent understanding of retail and you will possess essential mentoring qualities. You will thrive on balancing the need for a successful retail unit with ensuring opportunities are available for people to learn new skills. You will be willing and understanding that mentoring other people to learn new skills is imperative and is a non-negotiable and you must have patience and an understanding attitude.
