We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our team. Working from home for 20 hours a week, you will use the skills you’ve gained in a senior leadership charity role to help us take Race Against Blood Cancer to the next level.
Stem cell and bone marrow transplants are now regularly used as a curative treatment for patients with blood cancer, such as lymphoma, myeloma and leukaemia. Race Against Blood Cancer works to increase the number of people from minority groups – whether defined by race, ethnicity or gender – which are vastly underrepresented on the donor registry as stem cell or bone marrow donors.
By raising awareness of the issues surrounding donation and increasing the number of people from minority groups on the UK stem cell register, you will improve outcomes for blood cancer patients from black, Asian, mixed-heritage and minority ethnic groups. As a small charity it’s a really exciting and varied role, with huge opportunity for the future.
If you have experience of charity leadership at SMT level, with an interest in health inequalities, then Race Against Blood Cancer would love to hear from you.
