The Research and Policy Officer is responsible for conducting ROTA’s research projects and helping to guide ROTA’s policy work. They will report to the Chief Executive.
The successful candidate will lead ROTA’s research and policy work, providing evidence-based research to shape and influence race equality and human rights laws and policies in the UK. They will also help to provide policy briefings, statements and responses.
In collaboration with the CEO and the team, the Research and Policy Officer will lead specific projects, support the process of commissioning additional research, and develop policy recommendations for Government and other statutory agencies.
The Research and Policy Officer will make sure that the policy positions ROTA takes up are consistent, effective and well communicated. They will also assist with the management of volunteers and community researchers, in order to increase the capacity, range and depth of research within the organisation.
