The role of a Read Easy Regional Adviser is to provide high-quality support to volunteers setting up new groups, and to ensure that local groups provide a consistently high quality experience for all those they work with. Read Easy UK is rapidly expanding and is about to split its current South West region into two smaller regions – South and South West - each of which will have its own Regional Adviser, working 15 hours per week.
For this rewarding and dynamic role, you will need to have experience of working with volunteers; strong people management and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; and the confidence to run meetings and deliver presentations and training. A background in adult literacy would be an advantage but not essential. Please note that this role is home-based, requires flexibility and involves regular travel and occasional evening and weekend working. The successful candidates will need to have at least two years’ relevant experience, and will be based either in central Hampshire (for the position in the South) and in the Taunton area (for the position in the South West).
Salary: pro rata, based on a full annual salary of £25,000.
Benefits: 33 days holiday pro rata, including Bank Holidays. Pension scheme available.
