Morgan Hunt is working with a large Housing Association to recruit a temporary Community Centre Assistant for one of their award winning, health and wellbeing hubs locations in Old Trafford. The hub offers a wide range of facilities, community activities and services as well as 81 beautiful extra care apartments. The focus is on the local community and the people within it, where people can come to meet, eat, celebrate, collaborate, learn, and grow. A temporary need has arisen for Community Centre Assistant for a period of up to 2 months initially on a part time basis (4pm - 8pm), Monday to Friday.
The role - Community Centre Assistant
As a Community Centre Assistant, you will;
- Provide operational support to the day to day running of the community centre, including health and safety and customer support.
- You will provide a professional inclusive and customer focused service to the users of the community centre.
- Ensure centres are set up correctly in advance of bookings.
- Make sure the centre is clean and well-presented.
- Ensure hirers clear away at the end of a booking and leave the room ready for next user.
- Where relevant maintain schedules and records of building maintenance, reporting maintenance or repairs issues to the relevant team.
- Carry out health and safety checks and maintain appropriate records.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the building when directed including evenings and weekends as required.
- Inspect community centres in accordance with procedures, maintain all associated registers and records and ensure all actions identified are rectified.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and teams, residents, and user groups to ensure effective, efficient and customer focused delivery of services relating to the centres.
- Ensure accurate and up to date records are kept using appropriate systems.
The candidate;
- Able to demonstrate experience of delivering customer focused services in a demanding, public facing environment.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload.
- Good communication skills.
- Great customer service skills.
- A basic DBS is required for this role.

I am working exclusively with a Regulator, and we are looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Standards team on a permanent basis. This role works across the organisation on numerous programmes that are integral to the work of the regulator. You will be supporting the two Policy managers to enforce minister policies from Central Government departments. The team within this regulator regularly promotes internally.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be:
- Manage policy initiatives from start to finish and provide support to the development of the standards to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to a programme of cross-org policy initiatives.
- Conduct desk-based research to support policy development, ensuring evidence-based policy decisions are being made.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, focus groups and policy forums.
- Work closely with colleagues from the devolved nations and NI.
What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who has
- Experience of Policy work, at the Policy Assistant, Officer, Senior Officer, or Advisor level.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve multiple priorities.
- Experience of working with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced at preparing high quality policy documents, reports, and briefings.
- Worked for a Charity, Non-Profit, Regulator or Government Body (highly desirable)

Partnerships and Event Fundraiser
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Birkenhead
Contract: Permanent full time (40hrs) but happy to look at flexible working, including reduced hours/ 4 day week

About the Role
Working within a small fundraising team, the Partnerships and Event Fundraiser will make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local young people through the generation of new income. This income generation is broken into two programmes: the Community Fundraising programme and the SME Corporate Partnerships programme, both of which you'll be involved in. As Partnerships and Event Fundraiser, you'll be working across a number of projects and events to engage with businesses about creative ways in which they can support the Hive Youth Zone.
The Community programme will encourage the local community to fundraise for the Hive through approaching schools, groups, and associations, and recruiting participants for events. The SME Corporate Partnerships programme will encourage businesses to donate up to £1000 through initiatives such as Charity of the Year applications, staff fundraising initiatives, and recruiting support from smaller local businesses. You will also support and inspire existing corporate partners as part of your role.
About You
This role is a perfect opportunity for a fundraiser, with a proven track record of securing funds via community and corporate fundraising, to set up a new Community programme at the Hive. We are also very much open to candidates from a sales, marketing, and account management background, as well as candidates with events and projects experience. To be successful in this role, you will have experience meeting financial targets, and managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors/clients.
You'll be a strong networker and relationship builder, with the ability to communicate effectively, understanding what drives donors. You'll be results-driven, ambitious, with creative thinking and a strong sense of teamwork. Most importantly, you will believe in the power of excellent youth work.

A prestigious London Local Authority with a large regional jurisdiction over both the City of London and the county of Greater London is looking for a number of 12-month front of house and administrative staff to join a busy and expanding team based in Stanford-Le-Hope/Tilbury/Corringham area.
Your new role
To provide clerical and administrative support to the staff in a busy and expanding office. To work as one of the team of Support Assistants within the Service, in the provision of an effective, efficient and responsive service.
Hours: 37 hours per week within the hours of 6am - 10pm on a shift basis
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out reception duties and act as 'first point of contact' for visitors to the office.
- Sorting, date stamping, scanning all documents received and distributing post and documents received into the office and verifying delivery of documents, parcels and other goods in accordance with office procedures.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the field staff, as required.
- Arrange the collection of all samples on a daily basis that need to go to the labs, preparing for collection and liaising with the couriers.
- Use office equipment, including the postage franking machine, facsimile machine, scanner, photocopier and computer system to carry out the duties of the post.
- Answer all incoming calls and respond to telephone queries from a wide range of sources regarding the current status of imported food cargo and charging procedures, including passing calls on to the relevant staff.
- Under the direction of the Officers, or Technical Officers, carry out documentary checking with regard to consignments of imported food (not of animal origin), and maintain all necessary electronic and paper-based records.
- Input data into internal and external database systems and carry out general internal database maintenance, e.g. modifying tables, queries and reports.
- Maintain and update electronic and paper-based filing and record systems, including the equipment inventory. Assist with the archiving of items, and deal with confidential documents appropriately.
- Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, record Products of Animal Origin and other imported food consignments on the computerised cargo handling system and port manifesting systems.
- Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, they undertake the initial documentary check for third country consignments of products of animal origin in accordance with ISO procedures and ensure that documents for charging purposes are sent to the Finance Section on a daily basis.
What you'll need to succeed
- Live in the Corringham/Tilbury/Stanford-Le-Hope area
- Have your own transportation and driving licence
- Be proficient with MS Office, and
- Immediately available to work in May 2024
