What you will be doing....
· As the Finance Manager, you will support the Head of Financial Accounts and Contracts by leading the delivery of all financial accounting operations for the charity and its financial ledgers.
· You will lead on all financial accounting matters affecting the charity and this includes the production of the annual financial statements for the charity and managing the transactional functions of the purchase and sales ledger teams.
· You will ensure that the charity statement of recommended practice (SORP) is followed when compiling the accounts for review,.
· You will contribute to the further development of the financial systems and wider business unit needs by becoming a system expert in IRIS Financials and suggesting and implementing improvements to this.
· You will ensure the Asset Register is maintained throughout the year to support the completion of the financial statements..
· You will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and month end and year end processes including prepayments, accruals, and ledger close.
· You will support Senior Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger with debt chasing, holding monthly debt reviews with them and the Head of Financials Accounts & Contracts
· You will be the lead contact in relation to all tax issues affecting the charity. This includes completion of the quarterly VAT return, VAT related contract issues and corporation tax.
· Lead the external audit process, being the main point of contact during the external audit fieldwork, managing timescales and information/data provision for each audit deliverable.
What you will offer....
· At least four years plus demonstrable experience working within a finance team/function.
· Proven ability to run month end and year end processes with limited supervision.
· Comprehensive understanding of how to compile and submit VAT returns.
· Excellent Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
· Excellent analytical skills to support reconciliation tasks.
· Holder of an accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or part qualified or studying towards one

The Office Administration Assistant will support the smooth running of the office, offer administrative support to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and from time to time the wider team. The postholder will also support the Finance function.
Key responsibilities
* Office Management: Oversee the efficient operation of the office within a shared charity hub, including procurement of supplies, maintaining relationships with IT support contractors, and organising team meetings and events.
* Finance Assistance: Support the Head of Finance and Operations with data entry, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
* Board and Executive Support: Collaborate with the Chair, CEO, and Senior Leadership Team to plan and organise trustee meetings, manage board papers, and provide administrative assistance as needed, including travel arrangements.
* HR Administration: Maintain HR records, support recruitment processes, and facilitate staff onboarding, ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. Additionally, assist with staff engagement surveys and GDPR compliance efforts.
* Administrative Support to British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH): From time to time, you will provide Finance/Admin support to this small charity which has close ties to The Migraine Trust.
The role involves handling of confidential information, engagement with external stakeholders and managing a varied workload. This is a diverse, hands-on role which requires professionalism, interpersonal skills, energy, and attention to detail. In addition, you will be highly organised and able to prioritise proactively, take ownership, and drive change to make things happen. The Migraine Trust are more interested in your potential than in a perfect career or education. The role is home-based with around 1 day a week in the office near Borough High Street. The role is 21 hours per week and ideally these hours would be done spread across at least three or four days a week, such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or Monday-Friday with shorter days, due to the nature of the role as sometimes things need doing urgently. The Migraine Trust are happy to explore different options for the working pattern for the right candidate. The post will be subject to satisfactory references.

As a vital part of the Trust and Statutory fundraising team, the Stratutory Manager will report to the Head of Trusts and Statutory and work closely with project teams across the organisation, including senior operational leads and the Communications and Campaigns Team. With a strong ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments, the prison estate and statutory agencies, the role has responsibility for co-ordination of operational and financial information for key strategy programmes, identifying statutory funding opportunities and ensuring timely, high-quality reporting.
As Statutory Manager, you will:

Ideal skills and experience:
