City Harvest – Corporate Partnerships Manager
Location: Acton, London W3. Three days in the office.
Salary: Between £36k - £44k, depending on experience.

City Harvest, the charity rescuing food to feed people and protect the planet, is seeking a corporate fundraising manager with excellent relationship-building skills to be responsible for the management and maximisation of corporate partnerships at the charity.
Since 2014, City Harvest has been working to solve food poverty and food waste across London. Every week, the charity rescues over 100 tonnes of surplus food from the food industry. Staff and volunteers sort and package this food, and our vans deliver it, free of charge, six days per week to over 375 community partners across 30 London boroughs. The organisation provides over 1.1 million meals monthly, with 43% of their deliveries made up of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Development Manager, this role will lead and manage a portfolio of charity partnerships to an excellent standard. As well as managing and supporting the development of strategic partnerships, the post-holder will build relationships with multiple stakeholders at corporate partners to develop engagement and long-term commitment. This will include partnerships such as charity of the year, London chosen charity, commercial, cause-related marketing and affinity partnerships between £5-£100k. The post-holder will also develop high-quality materials for current and future partners and lead partner visits to City Harvest sites.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in corporate fundraising in the charity sector or within a CSR team. You will be experienced in managing corporate partnerships and in building relationships with donors and senior stakeholders. Excellent writing and presentation skills will be combined with good time management abilities. You will also be highly organised and will have experience of using a CRM system for fundraising.
This is an exciting time to be joining the charity as it invests in, and expands, the corporate partnerships team, to ensure that they can grow, retain current support and attract new business.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is a global organisation dedicated to funding research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. JDRF works towards its mission by funding research projects aimed at improving treatments, developing technologies to better manage T1D, and ultimately finding a cure. The charity also provides support and resources to individuals and families affected by T1D, as well as advocating for policies and funding that advance diabetes research and improve access to care.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role sits within the Fundraising and Engagement Department. JDRF receives no government funding, so all of their income is generated by the activities of this department.
The high-performing team work across the UK to deliver on challenging fundraising targets, collaborating across the organisation to generate income to find a cure and support the type 1 community.
The role supports on the development, including the research and approach of new high value corporate partnerships (£50k to £500k+), that will benefit the work of JDRF financially and/or strategically.

- Proactively secure and account manage strategic partnerships at 5- and 6-figure level that have long term benefits to JDRF
- Support a team income target of c.£600k.
- Account manage and grow income from corporate partners both new and established.

- Outstanding project, stakeholder and budget management skills.

About the Role:
As the Senior Corporate Partnership & Philanthropy Manager and part of the senior leadership team, you'll spearhead the growth of corporate and business philanthropic support, cultivate strategic partnerships, and nurture major donors aligned with the Earth Trust mission of championing natural green spaces for people and nature to thrive together. Your leadership will be pivotal in motivating the fundraising team, developing successful partnerships, and mobilising greater involvement across Earth Trust's funding pipeline to accelerate their impact.
Role Highlights include:
- Develop, execute, and lead a strategic corporate partnerships strategy to significantly enhance sustainable corporate support over the next three years.
- Proactively identify, cultivate, and steward corporate relationships to secure increased funding and impactful cause-related partnerships aligned with organisational priorities.
- Build a strong pipeline and secure multi-year 5-6 figure corporate gifts, sponsorship agreements, CSR partnerships, and employee engagement opportunities by crafting compelling proposals and presentations.
- Provide inspiring stewardship to corporate partners, including impact reporting, partner events, and excellent account management to maintain productive long-term relationships.
- Lead, inspire, and collaborate with your team across the full range of Earth Trust's fundraising models, working closely with the senior leadership team to maximise fundraising efforts.

You will be a seasoned fundraiser with a knack for cultivating valuable partnerships. You will have a wealth of expertise in corporate partnerships and major donor cultivation. In addition, you will be a natural communicator with a proven track record of securing 5-6 figure incomes. You will thrive in managing relationships and be adept at fostering strong connections that drive impactful results. Hand in Hand are a lean operation, with 90% of all funds raised being spent directly on programmes in 2023-2024. You will play an important part in maximising funds raised for Hand in Hand, contributing to long-term success.
Reporting directly to Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the primary objective of the role is to manage existing grants and accounts, secure new funding and manage a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer.
Your key focus will be identifying, creating relationships with and securing donations from corporate and family Trusts and Foundations and/or major donors. The role is highly international, working with colleagues across Afghanistan, Kenya and Tanzania, and a prospect base spread across globe.
Key responsibilities
- Grow income securing five- and six-figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations (60%) Corporate (30%) and Major Donors (10%) supporting an income target of £1.8m.
- Drive the expansion of Hand in Hand’s income by securing significant gifts ranging from five to seven figures from both new and existing donors.
- Engage senior-level donors through calls, meetings, and events to provide updates on project advancements and identify additional donation opportunities.
- Collaborate with UK-based colleagues and in-country teams in the creation of comprehensive proposals, including narrative content, logical frameworks, and budgets.
Ideal experience
- Proven experience in high value fundraising across, trusts, corporate or major donor.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with donors, and ultimately securing, as part of a team, successful asks of five or six figure gifts from UK and/or non-UK based donors.
