Head of Business Development
This exciting new role has a wide range of responsibilities, with a principal focus on sustainable business development, effective programme delivery and diversity of income streams. The Head of Business Development will support the CEO with the overall executive leadership and growth of the organisation, articulating and upholding the ethos and expectations of Redcar & Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency. This new position requires an inspirational leader to horizon scan, identify and secure business opportunities that align with and add value to RCVDA. As an ambassador for RCVDA the role will foster a positive culture, ensuring staff at all levels across the organisation are inspired and encouraged to succeed and prosper. The role may require working remotely and some work outside normal office hours.
You will have exceptional business development experience to assist the CEO in providing ambitious strategic direction across RCVDA group companies. Previous experience influencing and nurturing successful two-way relationships with key funders, commercial partners and central and local government departments within a business development position is essential. Additionally, the Head of Business Development will have the experience to formulate original and compelling bid and tender documentation. Skillset will include, a flexible, resilient and adaptable attitude towards work, with the ability to be creative, innovative and continually motivate and inspire. We would particularly like to hear from those with demonstrable commercial acumen with a track record of developing diverse income streams. Importantly the successful candidate will embody the values of RCVDA and support the vision and mission of the organisation.
