Job description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising
- Ensure all donations from individuals, partners and agencies are collected and processed efficiently, recorded on Salesforce from the different donation platforms, and thanked properly
- Submit Gift Aid claims in a timely manner
- Generate fundraising reports for the fundraising teams using Salesforce
- Managing online fundraising on our website, social media and any fundraising platforms used, with the support from Marketing and Communications Officer
- Undertake prospect research for the Fundraising team as needed
- Set up, manage and promote legacy giving to our current supporters and members and steward those relationships
- Support the Fundraising Director and Marketing and Communications Officer in preparing and sending out appeals to supporters, managing data sets and reports
- Contribute to the administration and stewardship of all RedR UK donors and work with the Fundraising Team to improve supporter care processes
- Representing RedR at special events, networking with existing and potential partners, collecting donations and providing any support needed during and after such events.
- Develop and regularly update RedR’s fundraising materials including the fundraising pack, sponsorship guides, website, information leaflets and stock
- Provide and review content for social media
Other
- Contributing to RedR newsletters
- Responding to comments and queries in a timely manner
- Coordinate with Programme teams to receive updates
- Dealing with general enquiries, answering the phone etc
- To support the fundraising team and line manager with any other relevant and reasonable activities throughout the year
- Assisting with volunteers as necessary
- To work weekends and evenings where necessary for events or communicating with supporters in different time zones
- To work unusual hours at short notice in the event of an emergency appeal following a disaster

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Systematic and efficient administrative skills
- Good written and Verbal communication skills
- Excellent numeracy and a good standard of written English
- Experience of research using the internet
- A flexible and collaborative approach to work
- An interest in the Humanitarian sector
Desirable
- Knowledge of Gift Aid guidelines and claim procedures
- Experience of using the Salesforce database platform or any other similar CRM systems
- Experience in fundraising, ideally in individual giving, legacy giving and/or corporate fundraising
