Refugee Café are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join our team based in Lewisham. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a high-quality hospitality and employability training programme to cohorts of six refugees at a time, with a commitment to support each trainee into mainstream employment. This is a new and important role for a dedicated team member who shares the Refugee Cafe vision of reducing poverty and unemployment for refugees.
This is a crucial role to the Refugee Cafe and duties will include developing a learning development framework, delivering the necessary training and developing partnerships with other organisations. The Training Coordinator will also be expected to provide trainees with 1:1 coaching and support and help with job placements and employability skills, with the aim of assisting trainees with running their own market stalls/events.
Those wishing to be considered for this role must have previous experience of working in a managerial position within hospitality and of designing and delivering learning development frameworks. They must also have a level 3 food hygiene certificate and a DBS check will be required.
Experience of working with refugees or vulnerable adults is essential and fluency in a second language (in particular, Arabic) would be advantageous. The post holder will also need to have excellent oral and written skills and experience of administration and safeguarding procedures.
