Global Assurance Manager
Remote homebased in an RI country of operation with frequent travel up to 60% to other RI Country Offices as required.
The post holder will require the right to work in their homebased location and national terms and conditions will apply.

About the opportunity
The Global Assurance Manager will have the opportunity to implement and influence change at RI on a global level. Supporting the VP Risk Management and Assurance in driving change and improvements throughout the organisation.
You will identify risks and assess the levels of internal controls that influence the quality of the services we aim to deliver to some of the most vulnerable communities in the world.
A key responsibility will be to complete internal audit and fraud investigations. Providing critical independent assurance to RI’s management and the Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s governance, risk management, control, and oversight arrangements in place.
You will confidently lead the delivery of high-quality internal audit assignments, reviews, and investigations that influence and facilitate change within Relief International. Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of Global Assurance and wider enterprise risk management improvement plans.
You will be a qualified professional of an internal audit or accountancy body together with progressive auditing experience (internal and/or external) within the international development sector.
You must bring expertise of working with major donors (USAID, DIFID & ECHO etc) and understanding of the grant management cycle is critical to this role. Together with your strong interpersonal skills you will have proven success in delivering difficult messages with tact, sensitivity and diplomacy, and with credibility to influence sustainable change with senior management.
This role has a global remit that requires the candidate to be able to travel internationally up to 50% of the time, and under difficult conditions in some of the most underdeveloped, insecure and remote parts of the world.
