The role of the Accounts Assistant is to expertly perform key financial activities that support the achievement of Resurgo’s mission and to encourage the flourishing of its culture.
You will perform a vital role in the efficient workings of the finance department and are expected to contribute actively to improve and develop the department’s activities. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and accounts, managing ledgers, support creation of forecasts and budgets, and help with the preparation of tax and gift aid returns.
The finance team is led by the CFO, who is supported by the Financial Accountant and the Accounts Assistant.

•A practising Christian who is passionate about personally representing the Christian values of Resurgo and is committed to Resurgo’s mission to transform urban communities.
•Professional accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA) essential, whether completed or in process
•Accounting experience for a minimum of three years essential
•Xero (or similar) accounting solution experience desirable, together with expertise in Microsoft office programmes
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills essential
•High attention to detail and excellent accuracy
•Effective communicator, with the ability to work closely with colleagues
•Self-motivated with good time management skills
•High levels of integrity and the ability to act confidentially
