Job description

Resurgo is in a time of significant growth and restructure.  We have bold ambitions to grow our employability programmes nationally, and a renewed focus on our consultancy arm to inspire and equip organisations to identify and deliver meaningful social purpose.

We are looking for a capable and creative individual to join the leadership of Resurgo, with oversight of our External Relationships to include our Communications function and our business development and marketing activities with donors, corporate partners and clients.

As a strong leader and people manager with experience of marketing and external relations, you will have an ability to manage projects with multiple complex priorities and think out of the box, be a confident decision maker and communicator, and passionate about social transformation.

Reporting into the Chief Executive, it is expected that the Head of External Relations will line manage and add value to each of the following teams whether at a relationship management level, project management, target setting, strategic management or in an advisory capacity.

They will represent Resurgo with donors, suppliers, supporters and other external clients, and will be expected to build and develop strong working relationships in a style in keeping with Resurgo’s values.

In 2016 we were listed as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in the ‘Great Place to Work’ Awards. In 2017 we won the Princess Royal Training Award which honours employers that have created outstanding training and skills development programmes, and we recently received a special commendation from the Princess Royal Training Awards Assessment Team for our exemplary training, learning and development response in the face of Covid-19.
