In support of our mission Habitat GB is introducing a new home improvement retail store to Great Britain called Habitat ReStore, which sells donated home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials. Habitat has already successfully introduced ReStore to other parts of its global network, including in the USA, Canada and Ireland, with all proceeds helping us ensure more people have access to decent homes.

Job Purpose
As Manager of the new 13500 square foot ReStore, you will use your passion, experience and insight to create a compelling shopping experience for our customers. Working closely with both volunteers and staff, you will be responsible for developing, motivating and engaging the team to help you drive sales. You will move our mission forward by making the most of every donation and using your talents to create that truly one of a kind shopping experience. The ReStore Team must be creative, compassionate and excellent communicators. Job Description & Duties:
· Oversee all retail operations including store merchandising, selling, space management, stock control, etc.
· Administrative and clerical duties (daily health and safety inspections, inventory and donation processing, staff scheduling, etc.)
· Manage scheduling and pick up of donations through fleet system.
Leadership and Team Building:
· Supervise, train and lead ReStore staff and volunteers.
- To induct, train and coach new colleagues, as evidenced through induction paperwork and development plans
- To role model and promote effective team communication, celebrating success and sharing best practice.
Customer Service :
· Problem solve and troubleshoot day to day issues and concerns
· Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to and promoting store policies and health and safety protocols and best practices
· Exceed sale and customer satisfaction targets to support our cause
· Deliver exceptional customer service to our customers, donors, and volunteers
· Deescalate and resolve customer complaints
Learning and Personal Development:
· Foster a culture of learning and development, delivering on continuous learning opportunities externally and internally
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to and promoting store policies and health and safety protocols and best practices. Ensure training through morning huddles and other learning opportunities.
· Advocate and share culture for Habitat for Humanity GB and model our values and guiding principles.

HFHGB is seeking to rapidly expand its activities and impact to fight poverty across the world. This means that the organisation must be adaptable and flexible and have an ambitious, dynamic and flexible team. About the role
As Shop Manager, you will be leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience, creating a vibrant, fun place to shop, work and volunteer. You will have the autonomy to develop your shop and engage with the community and will be expected to attract volunteers and donations locally. You will achieve ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.
You will work collaboratively with a peer support group of shop managers and will have opportunities to build your own skills through training and development.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to be an experienced Shop Manager with proven track records of managing a high performing team and achieving sales results. You will have a genuine interest in charity retail and be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail management roles. You will know how to manage and build Crisis’s reputation within the local community and be committed to Crisis’s values and mission to end homelessness.
You may have experience in; retail management, stock management, people management, customer service, recruitment/interviewing.

ABOUT BLACK ROOTZ
Black Rootz is a multigenerational growing project providing opportunities for Black and racially minoritised people to grow food for themselves, their families and their communities. Black Rootz was established in 2019 by a collective of Black growers in Haringey who recognised the need to organise to challenge the deep inequalities in the growing and food systems. Over the past 5 years, Black Rootz has developed a holistic practice for Black and racially minoritised communities incorporating intergenerational knowledge transfer, increased access to land and food sovereignty, regenerative environmental practices and reduced food inequality.
Black Rootz has been incubated as a project within The Ubele Initiative since 2019. As an established name in the growing community, it is now building towards an independent future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager is a new role that will provide hands on management capacity to Black Rootz. The role will bring experience and energy to support the delivery and continued development of the project’s core activities; the Community Growing Programme and a new workshop series. The Project Manager will take on a management position and, with support from Ubele, help the project to navigate decisions that will enable Black Rootz to achieve its overall social, environmental, and operational ambitions.
The successful candidate will be central in Black Rootz’ journey towards a more independent and sustainable future. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the complexity andholistic nature of Black Rootz and will be committed to its values. As a small team, the Project Manager will be as comfortable making plans and big decisions as they are rolling their sleeves up and being hands on to support the team. While this is a fixed-term contract, we expect the role to be extended and grow over time.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea has secured a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to restore and adapt our Grade II* Stable Block, designed by Sir John Soane, into a state-of-the-art Visitor Centre with an expected annual footfall of 36,000 visitors.
We are seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the new Soane Stable Yard shop, Post Office counter, and online shop. This pivotal role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, and leading a fantastic team.
The Retail Manager will train and manage a dedicated team of staff, Chelsea Pensioners and volunteers . In addition to driving high levels of customer service, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering against sales target, inventory management, visual merchandising, product sourcing and development and management of the online shop.
This full-time position requires some flexibility with weekend and evening shifts to accommodate the shop's opening hours. The post-holder will work closely with the new Audience Engagement team and Retail Consultants.
