As a Store Manager Designate for our growing number of Home stores you will be working in one of a number of stores in this area and eventually have the responsibility of your own store.
This is a hands on role. Working in a busy store, you will be leading your team on the shop floor and in the warehouse to generate stock and maximise profits. You will lead by example using your commercial and leadership skills to drive our stores forward while ensuring we deliver excellent customer service at all times. You will support and motivate a team of store staff and volunteers to maintain our high standards in store.
With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills you will be able to adapt to your store quickly, using your organisational and planning attributes to manage all the activities in the store from training to the financial and visual merchandising.
From working in a variety of stores you will gain exposure to different markets, layouts and turnover of stores before taking responsibility of your own store.
This position is for 35 hours and includes some weekend working on a rota basis.
About you
We are looking for someone with previous retail supervisory experience and confidence working in a fast paced environment. Motivated by the knowledge your hard work will make a life-saving difference, you’ll need to be proactive, driven and commercially aware. Leading by example, you will need to have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers within the region that you’re covering.

We are looking for a dedicated Sessional Shop Assistant to cover our Norfolk and Suffolk shops , to ensure that the shops stay open full trading hours in the absence of the Shop Manager or the Assistant Shop Manager. You will also be driving productivity and leading on key shop tasks, like shop displays and working the Till.

We're on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Store Manager to join our retail team in the heart of Dartford.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7)
About the role
Our Store Managers lead by example - making bold decisions and taking action if things are not working. You will have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers, encouraging them to bring new ideas and to build their knowledge of the BHF. The Role
At the National Memorial Arboretum, we believe in building on potential. As a Retail Assistant your ability to, to work as part of the retail team, in supporting merchandising, processing deliveries, serving customers and maintaining high levels of presentation and customer service, could have a real impact on people’s lives.
The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.

As a retail assistant you will be responsible for supporting the staff team and volunteer team to match peek trading patterns and events.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
• To provide consistently professional, first-class front facing communication and excellent standards of visitor care and customer service.
• To support the stock levels, delivery processing and merchandising standards to maintain effective and strong displays.
• To work to operational policy and procedures with regards to effective stock management.
• To guide and support the Retail volunteer team in delivering exceptional standards of customer services to all visitors and internal customers.
• To demonstrate a good working knowledge of the site and its operations.
• To respond positively and compassionately to all visitor feedback.
• To act as the first point of contact in a broad range of operational situations and tasks, taking responsibility for their resolution or escalating as appropriate.
• To act as an ambassador for the Arboretum, actively promoting the activities that generate spend. To help achieve organisational targets for income generation. To work with the Visitor Services and other teams to support new income generation initiatives.
• To operate a Retail Epos till, following till procedures and customer service standards including:
❖ Operating till points correctly and accurately.
❖ Handling cash and credit card payments in a secure and discrete manner.
❖ Ensuring all visitors are provided with accurate product information.
❖ Maximising sale opportunities
❖ Performing the end-of-day till cashing-up and reconciliation, on a shift basis and following all agreed cash handling processes.
• To work as part of a wider team within the NMA to deliver organisational objectives and demonstrate a flexible approach to working in team situations.
• Any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading as requested by the Head of Visitor Experience or Duty Manager.

About the National Memorial Arboretum
The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 200+ events which take place across the site.
In March 2017, the National Memorial Arboretum formally opened its new award-winning Remembrance Centre.
