This is a truly exciting time to join our ambitious Fundraising Team. To fund our services and respond to the current mental health emergency, we have developed an ambitious 5-year growth strategy. To enable us to deliver this strategy, we are investing in the team to ensure we can develop a Trusts and Foundations portfolio made up of prospects with capacity to give £5k - £1m+. The Trusts and Grants Officer will play a pivotal role in growing this area of our income and building pipelines around our key priority areas.
How you will make a difference
As Trusts and Grants Officer you will be integral in managing and optimising existing funder relationships as well as developing new partnerships to help us achieve ambitious targets and drive change. This role will work with small to medium Trusts and Foundations producing compelling applications and providing excellent stewardship.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone interested in learning more about Trusts and Grants and honing your skills as well as being inspired by the prospect of building a high impact Trusts and Foundations programme to create transformational change.

This role will work with Trusts and Foundations of all sizes with a focus £25,000+ producing compelling applications, providing excellent stewardship and supporting project development across Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK. This role will also work closely with the Head of Trusts and Grants to research, build relationships and secure partnerships with Strategic Funders who will support our Communities that Care strategy and drive change within the mental illness and mental health sector.

Our Integrated Governance Team ensures that the charities meet all of their legal obligations and that they are both effective and sustainable.
How you will make a difference
I work within Quality and Business Intelligence and support the Integrated Governance team. I provide administrative support to the Head of Integrated Governance to help ensure the organisation complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
I manage the Rethink Mental Illness health and safety management and reporting systems and provide support to managers and staff to ensure the organisation complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
I provide regular reporting information and advice to senior management to ensure Rethink Mental Illness take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of staff, volunteers, Experts by Experience, people who use services as well as contractors and all others who may be affected by our operations is maintained.

The Fundraising team exist so we can fund services and respond to the current mental health emergency. We have developed an ambitious 5-year growth strategy to help more people effected by mental health problems. To enable us to deliver this strategy, we are investing in all Fundraising streams and in particular Individual Giving and Legacies so we can grow income from £300k to £1.3m over the next 4 years. The Individual Giving Officer will play a pivotal role in growing income and increasing supporter growth and engagement. There is also incremental expenditure investment across the programme year on year.
How you will make a difference
The Individual Giving Officer will work with the Individual Giving Manager to drive forward the Individual Giving strategy for Mental Health UK. Using both acquisition and retention activities they will grow the supporter base, increase life time value and deliver exceptional supporter experiences. They will use a variety of channels including digital, and develop authentic content to deliver outstanding engagement campaigns and supporter journeys for regular givers, cash supporters and payroll givers. They will also contribute to the Individual Giving & Legacies team and wider Directorate activities and plans which will deliver ambitious fundraising goals.
