We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand and Communications Manager to join our established and friendly Campaigns and Communications team

Your role will be an agile position meaning you can work flexibly between 2 days at a fixed base in Location and from home. You will work full time, 35 hours per week on a permanent contract with a salary of £35,722.24 to £39,273.67pa inclusive of London Weighting

About the role

 

As Brand and Communications Manager for Rethink Mental Illness, you will be responsible for:

  • coordinating and implementing marketing and communications activity across the charity, working closely with the Head of Brand, Communications and Membership (job share).
  • operating an ‘account management’ system for communications requests from colleagues, supporting people to create communications plans for key pieces of work, and connecting colleagues to wider support from the Campaigns and Communications team including digital communications and media.
  • making sure that our services are promoted to potential service users and to commissioners
  • line managing two designers who provide bespoke design support to colleagues and who manage our design portal
  • leading on the creation of a fortnightly e-bulletin to supporters and more broadly maintain a content calendar to manage the flow of emails sent by the charity to supporters, members, donors and campaigners.

 

What we are looking for

 

You’ll have the essentials covered:
 

  • experience of communications and marketing, preferably in a charity environment.
  • experience in advising teams and colleagues on communications planning
  • experience of leading and developing staff and/or volunteers, setting and reviewing SMART objectives to build high performing teams.
  • experience of developing communication plans that identify key audiences, the messages that will resonate with them and the most effective ways of connecting with them.
  • excellent project management skills.
  • experience in managing a workflow of communications / marketing projects – liaising with either internal or external suppliers
  • experience of working within agreed budgets, developing cost-effective solutions and financial efficiencies.

 

 

You may also have:

  • Experience of working with people affected by mental illness, other disabilities or social exclusion.
