Job description

Rewilding Britain wants to see rewilding flourishing across Britain – reconnecting us with the natural world,  sustaining communities and tackling the climate emergency and extinction crisis. Established in 2014 as the only national rewilding charity in Britain, we champion rewilding, acting as a catalyst for debate and action and demonstrating the power of nature to address the enormous threats we face. We have a wonderful rewilding story which we must tell with conviction, passion and authority to make sure we inspire others to make change.

If you’re an experienced and organised communications professional who believes you have what it takes to  support the team in doing this we'd like to meet you. Working with our brand and comms team, the role of the Communications Assistant will be to provide support to the Communications Team in delivering high quality, effective content and campaigns which result in increased awareness, understanding and engagement with rewilding and Rewilding Britain amongst our key audiences.

We’re looking for someone who has proven experience in underpinning a busy team with top notch  organisational skills, and who can apply their knowledge and skills of digital marketing to enable our message to reach more people and more effectively.

Not only will you have a passion for rewilding, and ideally have experience within the conservation sector, but you'll be highly organised, analytical and full of ideas to improve our systems and processes.

This role would suit someone looking for a full time role – or at least four days a week – working from home. If you think you can help us, please send your CV, a short statement telling us why you’re the right person for the job, plus a one page only response to the following: what five things could you do in this role to ensure that Rewilding Britain’s communications inspire and engage our audiences? Please also include examples of/links to communications work that you've delivered.

Please send your application by midnight on Sunday 10 October. We aim to hold interviews via Zoom during the week beginning 25 October. We’re a small team, so please note we cannot respond to all applications – you will hear from us in the week beginning 18 October if you’ve been shortlisted.

Salary £24-28k pro rata, depending on experience.
