Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Psychotherapy and Counselling Service, which has been providing long term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988.  Our service offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a professional therapist.  The service is self-funded, and we offer sliding scale rates to make sure that we are accessible to all.

We are looking for a skilled and qualified counselling professional, registered with UKCP or BACP and with experience of working with complex cases, to coordinate and develop our Psychotherapy & Counselling Service.  You will provide leadership and direction to the team and ensure that we are delivery quality support throughout.

As well as having an empathy with the core values of RBMind, the successful applicant will have excellent project management skills and extensive experience of working in counselling support services. We are looking for a confident and versatile communicator with good relationship-building skills, and the ability to provide empathy and guided support to staff, volunteer counsellors and clients.

Salary: £29,000 per annum (pro rata), 22.5 hours per week (evening work is a condition of this post)
