Job description

We are looking for a Recovery Worker to join our Somerset Supported Housing Team.  This service supports people with mental health issues to manage and maintain temporary accommodation with a view to recovering and sustaining key living skills prior to moving on to their own tenancy. 

Richmond Fellowship is a partner in Recovery Focus - a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. What will you be doing? 

Day-to-day, you’ll manage a caseload of clients providing individuals with the support they need to enable them to live independently and engage with their wider community. 

You’re a great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising. 

You’ll work with individuals to develop and deliver appropriate support and actions that addresses their specific needs, helping them when it comes to fulfilling personal goals, living skills, liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies, ensuring they can develop their independence and manage their wellbeing and recovery. 

You have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people, and you love working alongside individuals to identify and work toward their own solutions.

We are looking for: 

  • Experience of working with people in a health, social care, or supportive environment. 
  • Dedicated to working in the community and willing to travel between our two housing units in Weston and Clevedon. 
  • A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work (mileage reimbursed)

The salary for this post is £20,375 per annum. 

This is a permanent post.  

This is a typically full time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week - but a flexible approach to working a minimum of 30 hours could be discussed.
