Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to manage the day-to-day running of our Derby City Community Based Mental Health, Peer Support and Recovery Service, delivering in line with our values and recovery focused approach. Here, we provide personalised, community based support for people living with mental ill health, tailoring our support to each individuals needs, preferences, strengths and aspirations. Central to our support is the belief that sustainable recovery is possible for everyone.

In this vital front line management role, you’ll be responsible for everything from the day‐to‐day management of service contracts and staff, budgets and client caseloads. We’ll also rely on you to develop a service/location training and development plan and look after the service’s budget. You will support and manage volunteer coordinators, as well as mental health recovery workers. Managing all aspects of risk will be important too, as will ensuring data entry onto our MI and reporting systems is accurate and timely. In short, you’ll do everything you can to make sure the quality of the service we provide is nothing less than exceptional.

To succeed, you’ll need significant knowledge and experience of working in mental health and undertaking risk assessments. You will be solution focused and outcome driven, with a firm but inclusive, open and encouraging management style, lots of tact and diplomacy and the ability to lead by example. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, working with both our internal and external partners and all stakeholders. We’ll also be looking for a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to participate in an on call rota. Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities, motivating staff and delegating work also comes naturally to you. And, if you have a relevant professional qualification to go with your impressive experience, even better.

The post-holder should have previous experience of working within mental health.

The salary for this role is £24,606.00 with potential progression up to £25,901.00 per annum.

This is a permanent role and will require the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
