Job description

RYP (Riverside Youth Project) is a brand new youth and community project that will be providing safe spaces, positive relationships and new experiences for young people aged 13 to 19 years old in areas of London by the River Thames.

We are a community project accompanying young people through adolescence. We want to help young people to reach their potential, grow up healthy, be part of society and be good neighbours. We want them to achieve their dreams but if they don't, we want them to be able to reflect positively on what's happened and learn from it.

We are seeking one or more experienced Volunteer Funding Bid Writers (TRUSTS Grants) who can work with us at Riverside Youth Project to write one or a couple of funding bids to Trusts such as the National Lottery so that we can generate some income to start our youth project for young people aged 13 to 19 years old from deprived backgrounds to help build their confidence and give them positive activities and positive role models to work with.

Its estimated that we will need to raise approx £50k a year (so anything you can help us raise will really help benefit young people) these funds will go directly into RYP for running costs, such as insurance, volunteer expenses, rent of space and resources and materials for sessions with young people attending the project). The role is home based so has plenty of flexability to fit around work/life and your free time.

If you can help our new youth project as we are about to start our set up phase that would be awsome and much appreciated.

Thank you.
