BACKGROUND
The Community Marketing and Fundraising Executive is part of the RLSS UK membership task force team, with responsibility for supporting the delivery of objectives relating to the strategic framework 2022-25. Specifically in the aspects of supporting our members and volunteers with Building our Community across the UK and Ireland.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
MARKETING
- Taking a lead operational role in the planning of marketing activities to support local community groups, working closely with key volunteers.
- Develop a suite of marketing resources to aid the growth of club and community group activity.
- Design relevant induction training to ensure appropriate volunteers have necessary skills for marketing and communication tasks within their local community.
- Supporting the administration of any volunteer selection/appointment panels as required.
FUNDRAISING
Work with the Community Volunteer and Events executive to plan the delivery of RLSS UK community events to;
- fundraise against regional targets, along with,
- raising brand awareness of RLSS UK,
- delivering relevant water safety messaging/campaigns,
- recruiting new members and volunteers to assist with fundraising
- Encourage the involvement of existing members in the delivery of RLSS UK fundraising events.
- Work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Events Manager to promote national activities.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to work flexible hours as the post will require occasional evening and weekend work and in possession of a valid UK driving licence and able to travel across the UK and Ireland as required.
