Challenge Events Coordinator (London)

You will be managing a variety of challenge event projects, with a focus on outstanding supporter stewardship and maximising supporter fundraising and recruitment. Key projects include our General Running and Open Challenge portfolio, which have grown significantly over the last couple of years, as well as supporting London Marathon and our bespoke events RNIB Double Dash and Marathon Mates.

Challenge Events Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Manage our General Running and Open Challenges programme to deliver clear, timely and effective plans and evaluations which support the growth of recruitment, income and PR coverage
• Deliver stewardship and engagement strategies for key events
• Manage and co-ordinate enquiries via email, phone, mail and social to ensure outstanding supporter care and timely responses
• Ensure all supporter communications are recorded accurately on our Pivotal database, in adherence to Data Protection and GDPR
• Identify opportunities to tell supporter stories that bring our events and supporter experiences to life
• Act as a challenge events champion across RNIB, sharing news and inspiring content with colleagues to inspire and engage
• Represent RNIB at external events and ensure supporters, their families/friends and volunteers have excellent event experiences
• Supervise volunteers in the office and at events
• Ensure key internal colleagues are briefed with clear timelines, objectives and responsibilities
• Work with key teams to produce content and copy for web, email and social media
• Manage and monitor performance of 3rd party event suppliers
• Create, monitor and manage individual event budgets
• Ensure income and expenditure management is accurate and timely, and complies with internal policies and CIOF guidance
• Ensure information given to supporters complies with charity law and CIOF code of fundraising practice
• Keep up to date with sector trends, undertake competitor analysis and contribute to the development of our team strategy

Challenge Events Coordinator Requirements:

• Experience of working in a fundraising or customer service team
• Experience of delivering excellent customer care
• Experience of using databases and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of CIOF code of fundraising practise
• Ability to remain positive and calm under pressure.
• Commitment to the ambition, values and behaviours of RNIB.
• Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines, organise time effectively, creating work schedules, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, deliver to tight deadlines, and make decisions independently

Job type: Full Time, permanent, 36 hours per week
Salary: £25,562 (inc. £3,603 LW if applicable)
