Job Description

RNIB’s Face to Face Confidence Building Courses bring together blind and partially sighted people to share experiences, learn about opportunities and to gain knowledge to support independent living and confidence building. Due to our service growth and customer demands, RNIB is now looking for a Confidence Building Coordinator to assist with the Confidence Building service in the South East of England. This covers Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, IOW, West Sussex, East Sussex, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Working with volunteers and partners, you will be facilitating and also developing capacity for others to facilitate courses to ensure we can offer a range of options to our customers.

With experience of networking and relationship building, some experience of facilitation and a commitment to empowering blind and partially sighted people, you’ll be contributing to one of the RNIB’s most exciting and rapidly developing services. You’ll need to be prepared to travel within the South East and be committed to developing this service and working to develop links with your local RNIB Network Team to ensure we reach more people.

This role requires an enhanced criminal record check including adult barred list as the post holder will carry out regulated activity/work with adults with sight loss.
