Robertson Bell are excited to be working with a brand name charity focussing on cancer care in the UK to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 12 months. Based in Central London, the role will be responsible for a high-performing team of five.
Main responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller are as follows:
- Lead the year-end process, pulling together the accounts from several subsidiaries in the organisation.
- Be the main point of contact with the auditors, managing this process and any requests they may have.
- Take the group accounts through to audit sign off stage and deal with any queries from the trustees.
- Field all enquiries related to tax and specifically VAT for the organisation being the go-to person in finance for these questions.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified (CCAB) accountant with excellent technical accounting skills and the ability to manage complex processes with multiple factions involved in it's delivery. You will have led on numerous year ends and understand the charity accounting requirements in addition to likely queries from auditors. As well as the above skills, you will be immediately available or available in early January due to the looming year-end and the preparation that is needed in advance of this.
