Robertson Bell are working with a leading not for profit organisation based in Manchester to recruit an Interim Head of Finance for a 12 month period, covering maternity leave. This is a critical role for the organisation and it gives more exposure to the senior leadership team than would normally be expected at this level.
Reporting into the Director of Finance, the main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
*Enhance the systems used within finance to automate processes and procedures in order to free up more time in the team to support stakeholders.
*Ensure the timely delivery of management information to the teams around the world to improve their decision making.
*Deliver improvements to the financial controls and regulations to allow closer monitoring of projects in the delivery phase.
*Manage and develop a team of 8 - many of which are relatively new in post to deliver on organisational goals.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who is an accomplished manager - having managed at least 5 people in a team beforehand. You will have demonstrable experience of driving improvements across a finance function, specifically within systems and processes. In addition to this you will be comfortable working in a changing environment.
