Job description

Are you a storyteller who can write engaging and inspiring content?

Kew Foundation is looking for an experienced and creative individual to join us as Editorial Content Manager. Playing a vital role in the Engagement team, you’ll be responsible for developing and writing editorial content for member, patron and donor audiences and across various communication channels.

You’ll help develop the organisation's tone of voice and brand narrative, ensuring both are implemented consistently across our communications. You’ll also research stories from across the Gardens and turn into compelling written content, to engage our audiences in the vital science and conservation work and its impact on a global scale.

You’ll have experience of managing briefs from initial concepts through to delivery and possess excellent research, writing and editing skills, with a clear sense of how a story can be brought to life across different formats.

Educated to degree level and with a proven background in either a communications or content role, the ideal person will have excellent attention to detail and be highly organized. 

Someone who is a team player and able to work with multiple departments, collating, researching and writing material. You will have exceptional proof reading and editorial skills, including content generation. The ability to research and write compelling content covering not only the gardens but our science and conservation work and the ability to turn complex stories into easy to digest stories for key audiences is essential for this role.

A proven ability in developing content for different audiences across various communications channels, you will be able to demonstrate excellent writing skills. A good knowledge with regards to GDPR and data protection standards, policies and practices is also highly desirable.
